Hey all, I thought I would share my recent rescue (I rescue Australian wildlife in my spare time) We got a call last night about an Echidna who was hit by a car and who needed to be be taken to the hospital (Steve Irwin's Wildlife hospital if anyone is a fan) Anyway, this little animal was tough as nails! it decided to burrow itself into the dirt (this is how they defend themselves) It took my partner and I over an hour of digging and manoeuvring to pick her up and to take her for treatment and to be checked over by the doctors. This little creature had "clinched" itself into the ground so strongly it was like trying to lift a tree stump out of the ground!!!!! As rescuers we get to name the animal... I decided to call it Sylvie! I think It's only fitting... it's little, very strong and good at clinching LOL So, little Sylvie has now been cleared with just minor injuries, a few scratches and small damage to the spikes, so so lucky. She will be released back into the wild in the next few days!

Oh bugger, hope you recover fast -
Share you book recommendations I’m currently reading Mike Tyson’s book, not his bestseller life story ‘Undisputed Truth’ (although awesome and recommended too) but the book ’Iron Ambition’ about his life with Cus D’amato his first trainer who basically built a world champion. https://www.amazon.com/Iron-Ambition-Lessons-Learned-Champion/dp/0751559598/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=iron+ambition&qid=1587802810&sr=8-2

yes please that’d be awesome -
Woah..... Thanks Kevin, just fascinating. This reminds me too in Thailand that only Mahuts (elephant companions) are allowed to be male. I was told this is because of female mensuration too but I wonder if it runs deeper? The strength of the elephant being a sacred animal and having no place for a woman. A bit like the Muay Thai ring. Ha Even though most elephants in captivity are female!

Hey there definitely go for a 6ft because you can use it for low leg chops as well as everything else. I really like my teardrop too but that’s more for uppercuts and knees . filling- I bought mine already filled but I’ve seen people put in old clothes and rags as long as all buttons and zips have been removed

I’ve only heard of Cambodia top team but I think they are also mma. I did read you can learn their traditional ancient style Bokator which apparently is older than Boran and is on the walls of Ankor Wat temple. But I’m not sure how true that all is and if the Style and teachers actually survived the genocide. Either way it would be great to train and support locals esp in Cambodia. Such a poor country
