I think your first podcast went really well. I enjoyed hearing about what was going on with all the different fighters and the general state of female muay thai in Thailand. Maybe that could be a regular segment of each podcast.

The International Olympic Committee has revised their guidelines for transgender athletes. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/transgender-athletes-olympics_us_56a5bc6ee4b0d8cc109a8e9
The International Olympic Committee's medical officials announced Sunday that trans men will be able to compete "without restriction" and trans women will only need to undergo one year of hormone replacement therapy, according to a new policy initially reported in Outsports. Previous guidelines, in place since 2003, mandated athletes undergo gender reassignment surgery as well as two years of hormone therapy. The Associated Press notes the new guidelines aren't rules that other sports bodies must follow, but rather a set of recommendations to match changing attitudes and updated scientific consensus regarding transgender people. The guidelines should apply as soon as this year's Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. You can read them in their entirety here. There was a great discussion on the Ronda Rousey thread about cisgender and transgender women competing together.

I like that they featured so many women from so many different places, but I wish there'd been more Thai women throughout the process. They brought in more the second time around and at different weights, which was cool.
Do you know who the artist for the soundtrack is? I really like the music.

No, the organization doesn't really exist anymore. There's a new female-oriented promotion that is run by the Thai Fight people, but they've only had one event on the Queen's Birthday this year, up in the North of Thailand.
That's too bad. I definitely had some issues with regard to how they thought female fighters should present themselves but it was great to see a promotion focusing on women and hosting all female cards.

Finally got to see the installation today. It was awesome to see in person. So much going on it was hard to take it all in. I found that if I stood facing a corner of the room it was like watching a split screen with a closeup/highlight of the fight on one side and the main fight on the other. The soundscape was very minimalist, just the grunts and breathing of the fighters, the sound of gloves hitting flesh, and feet shuffling on canvas. No music or background crowd noise. Natalie Fuz's low kicks sounded especially dramatic, really hard, sharp slaps.

But Martyna (or even Bernise Alldis, another opponent of Tiffany's) isn't a clinch fighter on the level of Caley, imo. Nothing against either of them, but Caley is a notch above in the clinch. That being said, the task is even harder now as Tiffany looks like she's improving in the clinch as well.
Here's Tiffany's fight with Bernise Alldis.
