Hotel recommendations Pattaya

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

I am planning a trip to Thailand around July - August. I was thinking of about staying at fairtex Pattaya but am finding it abit pricey.

Does anyone have a recommendation on where to stay in Pattaya ?

I am not a fussed person, and I do like things old school just aslong it's safe.

Thanks :)

Royal Thai Residence is I think 800 a night, and has a nice pool. They are a sponsor of the Thai boys at our gym Petchrungruang, so there is that connection (there is a Muay Thai discount). But we've known several people who have stayed there happily.

Our apartment building rents out daily rooms at 600 a night, I think.

Sorry this isn't super complete, just what I know. At least a place to start.

Yeah, I'd recommend Royal Thai Residence also because I know them and they're so wonderful and kind. The area is quiet, off the road but not far away from the main roads for getting anywhere you need to go. It's right near Venom - like, within a 10 min walk or 2 min on a motorbike - and near to my gym as well. It's on the opposite side of Pattaya from Fairtex, but everything in Pattaya is relatively close; it's actually a pretty small city. I don't know whether you were looking at Fairtex because that's where you want to be or just because it comes up on searches easily.

I'd stay away from Walking Street and Beach Road in general. They're not dangerous, but they're kind of a non-stop, drunken pub crawl at night.
