To train or not to train ?

Recommended Posts

Hello I’ve been training for a week now Tomorow is my 11th session.( have 1 yr experience training atleast 6x a week in gym + roadwork and conditioning by myself )

in in bkk right now and Everything in my body hurts I went all in again after a couple months of nothing due to corona ...

my hands and hips  hurt my power and energy seriously lack compared to the first days should I ease it up or will it improve as I keep striving to do 2 a day training sessions for about 6 more weeks while I’m in bkk ?
Im 23 but feel like crap but I feel guilty not going to the gym because I love it and want to improve

I would say train through it and do more for your recovery.

Over training isn't a myth, it's a thing.  I think you will probably be alright to keep going, it'll be good for your mental well being to push through, but don't be stupid if you start running into serious PAIN beyond general muscle soreness. If you have the option, take an epsom salt bath or generally a warm bath and massage your muscles out.

You've got to know the difference between soreness and actual pain - and that's a fine line to walk. I'm sure you're gonna be fine tho!

You can do it for sure, 2 a days for 6 days, and it's not over-training - *but* you gotta sleep tonnes. Like...sleep a ridiculous amount compared to a regular person. Obvs at night, gotta be in bed super early, no artificial light sources keeping you up. But middle of the day, gotta also grab a good 4 hours there, before afternoon training. And that 4 hour siesta will feel like not enough sometimes.

All people talk about is their training/hard work and their food/diet. Like... as if that's the end of the story. Hell no, our sleep is number 3 on that list, and maybe just as important as the first 2.

My 2 cents.
