Fight scenarios

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm an active fighter and have been training for over 12 years. Occasionally I find myself in situations in fights where I find myself up against opponents either similar in skill or better. In particular, I find myself in situations during fights where I know my opponent is throwing teeps or kicks with the intention of faking one, hopping forward, and setting up for another power shot. Sometimes I find myself either to fixated on the power shot which may or may not come, causing myself to become hesitant; or letting my guard down and getting caught by the power shot in attempts to not think about it. What do you find to be the best answer in these situations?

I'd say maybe power thru, people who use fakes don't like when they get pressured, they don't have time to think when you don't let them breathe , that way they make mistakes easier.  Tighten the defense and go in with pressure.
