vs Jess Ng (rematch) – Take-On Productions – Queens, NY
Rematch with Jess Ng almost a year later. We’ve both had a couple fights since our last meeting and changed a lot. I like Jess and it was an honor to fight her again at Sitan’s monster card.
And an abridged Wai Kru/Ram Muay against the rules. (Only pro fighters are allowed to perform it under the WKA officials, due to “time constraints” and many of them don’t perform it at all. So it’s disappearing.) It’s messed up I have to “revolt” in order to perform traditional elements of Muay Thai.
I’d been working on aggression in my training with Ray Velez (boxing) and my friend Robyn Klenk. I think that the aggression was a good thing in this fight, even though the overall performance was not great and I lost in the clinch. Jess did a great job of evading and attacking. I thought I’d won that fight, as did some others, which goes to show that a fight can be seen in many ways.
This fight also resulted in some big changes for my fight path and ultimately led to me training with Kaensak Sor. Ploenjit. I’m grateful for it.
