My first fight back in Thailand and I was anticipating some ring rust. Having no idea what to expect from my opponent and having been in Thailand for two weeks, I didn’t know what to expect from myself either. She made it easier for me by pushing the clinch (so I didn’t have to make strategic plans, just respond), which I suspect she thought would work because she had the size advantage. I learned in this fight that my straight knees (Master K’s technique from the hip) are perhaps my strongest weapon and helped convince my trainers here at Lanna that I am suited to be an “inside fighter”. I wrote some about what this change means to me here in the post Inner.
