    Canada seems to have their own belt system in most Muay Thai gyms here that was apparently developed by Ajahn Suchart. Only difference was that instead of belt colour, its your shorts colour. Always wondered how people thought about that and if it helps development. I joined a gym that did not do that and actually was allowed to spar right away. Was curious on whether this grading system is beneficial for Muay Thai because I don't know if it is and is just something extra?
