vs. Patti Teran – Lion Fight Promotions – Las Vegas (Primm, NV)

It was a real pleasure to have the opportunity to fight in Primm under Lion Fight Promotions and against Patti Teran.  It was cool to step out of the New York fight scene and see a different atmosphere, a different group of fighters, promoters, officials and a different sanctioning body.  And Patti is a very experienced and humble opponent

I learned in this fight that I need to start much sooner, as the fifth round was my best.  I wasn’t tired at all and my opponent was slipping; makes a bigger difference if you have more time to capitalize on it.

I also got to see/meet some awesome Muay Thai women in the process.  Jill Guido was in the audience to cheer both me and Patti; and I got to sit with Amy (she is a huge inspiration to me) and Darrin Davis to watch the rest of the fights – one of which was Sakmongkol!   Amy and Darrin have been very supportive of and helpful to me for a long time.

Fight is in my playlist

100+ Fights

A 100 lb. (46 kg) female Muay Thai fighter. Originally I trained under Kumron Vaitayanon (Master K) and Kaensak sor. Ploenjit in New Jersey. I then moved to Thailand to train and fight full time in April of 2012, devoting myself to fighting 100 Thai fights, as well as blogging full time. Having surpassed 100, and then 200, becoming the westerner with the most fights in Thailand, in history, my new goal is to fight an impossible 471 times, the historical record for the greatest number of documented professional fights (see western boxer Len Wickwar, circa 1940), and along the way to continue documenting the Muay Thai of Thailand in the Muay Thai Library project: see patreon.com/sylviemuay
