For those who don’t already follow, Rosy Hayward’s Female Muay Thai News, Archive and Rumors Facebook Group (open to anyone) is one of the heartbeats of female Muay Thai online conversation. A lot of world class fighters post and comment there, and Rosy is really on top of all the fights and promotions – she also is committed to preserving the careers of the previous generation of female Muay Thai fighters.
Any post can (and often do) suddenly develop into a very interesting discussion, for instance this posting of news of a fantastic fight – Jojo Calderwood vs. Iman Barlow – produced a side conversation about what non-Thai woman might hold the record for most full rules Muay Thai fights (turns out it might be Iman or Valentina), “quality vs. quantity” fighting paths, female fighter blogging and even book writing. If you don’t click onto the posts there you might miss some really good stuff. I got to know fighter Natasha Sky yesterday through this thread, someone who shares some of my fight values and bizarre experiences – and she’s already started blogging! Check her out on muaytash.
