Two vlog updates from this week. The first is from Bangkok when I visited the National Library trying to track down an article from 1972 which supposedly relates the famous “woman in the ring” event at Rajadamnern Stadium, much retold, as to how a female reporter entered the ring before a televised broadcast resulting in multiple bloody KOs due to the breaking of protective magic. I could not find the article there, despite valiant librarian efforts, but do have a lead at Cornell University in New York. I’m excited to maybe get to the bottom of this story (I’ve run into a completely different version of it).
The second blog was from yesterday. Just an update on my return to O. Meekhun Gym after taking a month to train at WKO, a little story about cuts in training and things I’m focusing on like my breathing under fight-stress and training around a “possibly” broken hand – please, no broken hand advice. I’ll be writing about this training around injury soon.
