I’ve created two new Facebook Pages where I can curate content around these two passions of mine. Unthreading them from my main Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu – Muay Thai page allows a bit more focus and distinction for each category and I’m already enjoying dropping thoughts and posts into each of them.
Muay Thai Techniques – Preserve the Legacy
This is where I’ll be posting lots of clips taken from my Muay Thai Library, instructive pieces of techniques that exemplify Thai techniques, as well as photos and videos from the Golden Age of Muay Thai, and celebrating the legends of Thailand. The theme is to Preserve the Legacy, knowing that part of what makes Muay Thai so beautiful, so meaningful, is found in the techniques themselves, and the men who used them. I’ll post old fights I find interesting, maybe some with commentary over there. If you love the techniques and history of Muay Thai fighting, this is a page where you can find it. Visit Muay Thai techniques here.
Muay Thai Mind – The Sylvie Legend Project
“Sylvie Legend” is the nickname my husband gave me. It’s maybe a sort of signature for the kind of Muay Thai I’ve been reaching for this entire time. This page is dedicated to Mental Training for Muay Thai and will be following my own process, much of it having to do with my work in the Niyi Sobo mental training group 12-week program that I’m participating in – at least that is the launching point, it will certainly continue beyond those 12 weeks. I’ll be posting about my process, but also any resources I come across, and strategies that I’ve found successful. This is place where I can reflect more deeply and with greater openness about the process of becoming a better fighter, and hopefully there will be things that can help you out as well. Visit Muay Thai Mind here.
What I’m really pushing for are ways to improve what I’m sharing and to develop better conversation around these two important areas of my Muay Thai. I hope you find them as valuable as I do.
